Live From The 2017 Food Truck Fest

  • On Saturday, Sept. 16, the third annual Food Truck Fest in Springfield, Missouri was held for the public to sample food from the area’s most popular food trucks.
  • “The variety of vendors and the different kinds of cuisine was unbelievable,” said Kyle Smith, Food Truck Fest attendee.
  • Over 30 food trucks attended this event and almost every truck had a long line of people waiting to try their food.
  • Attendees also enjoyed live entertainment at the Food Truck Fest.

Coverage of Downtown Springfield’s Food Truck Festival

I could not have had a better time at The Food Truck Festival.  The food was delicious, the crowd was energetic and excited, and the live music added a really cool twist.  I will be coming back to this event for years to come!

Rusty Worley, the Executive Director of the Downtown Springfield Association could not have been more happy with the turnout of this year’s annual Food Truck Festival.  “There was a huge amount of cross traffic between the Food Truck Fest, Cider Days, and Family Weekend on Missouri State’s Campus.  All the events that took place on this weekend benefited from each other, causing the Food Truck Festival to have their largest turnout yet,” Worley said.

Downtown Springfield is continuing to grow and the events that take place here are becoming a part of this city’s culture.  The Food Truck Festival is definitely adding to the vibrancy of this area.

“These are the kinds of activities young professionals in our area are looking for,” Worley said.  “With how successful the Food Truck Festival was this year, I can see a lot of potential for the future of this event.”

Worley believes that this event will keep downtown growing.  With how busy that September weekend was, he had nothing but positives things to say about the outcome of the 2017 Food Truck Festival.

The food trucks that were showcased at this event included:
