- “We started researching farms in cities and visited a lot of them, and just fell in love with the idea of growing food where people work and play and live, just to help increase the accessibility of produce,” said Melissa Millsap, owner and head farmer of Urban Roots Farm.
- This unique farm is different from traditional seasonal farms, as it uses high and low tunnels that are moved across the farm to produce crops year round.
- Urban Roots Farm grows 43 different vegetables per year and has a satellite location with additional space to grow storage crops.
